The Mustang 428 Cobra jet Registry published the 2018 edition of the registry book in May 2019. The book contains 342 pages of engine information, parts identification information, pictures, stories, and a complete listing of 3,130 vehicles registered as of 31 December 2018. The book is spiral bound and printed on high-quality 8.5" x 11" paper, with clear plastic protective sheets front and rear. The book is now out of print and no longer available for sale.
This page contains links to documents that provide "how-to" instructions for various do-it-yourself restoration projects. Documents can be provided by anyone who is willing to describe how they tackled a specific project, so please feel free to write down what you've learned and share it with others! There are a few requirements for submissions, though:
We provide a self-service photo gallery from the registry forum that allows individuals to upload their own images and maintain their own text describing their cars. Note that the cars listed in the photo gallery are NOT the only cars registered - they are just the cars for which an owner decided to post pictures.
The Mustang 428 Cobra Jet Registry Forum is provided as a free service to anyone interested in the 428 Cobra Jet or the registry project. The forum is hosted on the registry web server to provide nice ad-free features at a reasonable cost. Registration is required to participate as a result of some shenanigans perpetrated by guest users; sorry about that. Terms of service and other legalities can be found when you register as a forum user.
All editions of Cobra Jet Quarterly, the original newsletter of the 1968 - 1970 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet registry, are available for download here. Newsletter files are published in Portable Document Format (PDF); a PDF reader is available for free from Adobe Systems Incorporated.
The December 1999 edition of Cobra Jet Quarterly is the last published edition. All registry project publications will take place through this web site from now on.
